Here is just a general outline of what I did:Įarly game - try to scout as much as possible early to find civs + find good spots for luxury settling. I think I could have been more efficient playing Mag Cat and sub 100 CV is definitely possible. So basically Catherine festival project strategy. So at some point of time, some one has to do it. I didn’t have a T1 save, so I created a new game with the same game seed and attached that save file.Ĭatherine de Medici (Magnificence) T127 CV I couldn't figure out how to put immages directly in the text so I just uploaded my victory screen with the save files. So I’m not sure if it should count as a T130 or T132 culture victory. One more thing, the culture victory screen shows, that I should have enough tourists to win the game, but somehow the victory screen only popped up 2 turns later. I hit both classical and medieval monumentality golden ages, which allowed me to quickly expand and chop out holy sites in my new cities. Basil’s Cathedral, the last 2 in my capital to get even more tourism from relics. Michel.Īs for wonders: I missed out on Apadana, but was able to build Oracle, Mahabodi Temple, Mont St. Though only one of them had the martyr promotion before I finished Mont St. I picked Reliquaries and Missionary Zeal as my beliefs and started spamming Apostles as soon as I finished my first temple. I tried to make sure to have open borders with all civs at all times, but unfortunately I got declared twice by America in the early game and towards the end by Korea (who declared on my ally). Then I followed with a couple of Theater squares and Commercial hubs (to get enough trade routes for all civs in trading range). I picked the Religious Settlement pantheon and build holy sites first in all my cities. I opened with 3 holy sites to get the discount on 2 campuses and government plaza Initially, I wanted to try a faith buying Winged Hussar strategy, but then I found Kandy early on and decided to go for a reliquaries Culture Victory instead. Describe (the more flavor the better) what your strategy was and how the game went.Ĭopy and paste, and enter yourself into the top 10 list if your score is worthy!.For flavor: post screenshots of interesting parts of your game, or even make a video.Add the first turn save game and the last turn save game (post victory).End your post with the new ‘top 10’ with you in it (see below).Mention the number of turns it took you to win the intended victory. To be eligible for a ‘top position’, post a reply to this thread where you: If you participate and anyone shows you accidentally or purposely violated the conditions or rules of the competition, your name will be crossed from the top 10.Follow the GOTM rules, especially the ‘what should we consider as exploits’ (see ).This off course includes using any cheat codes, restarting maps or playing maps you have seen others play, reloading previous saves after mistakes (not crashes, but even then you shouldn’t replay more than one turn exactly as you did before). ![]() Not cheat and/or use exploits (you know when you have, it’s that subtle feeling of shame when you post a score you did not earn fairly ).To make sure it’s a fair competition, make sure to: Any player can join the competition multiple times, but always with a different map seed. Special conditions: Any random seed / map can only enter the competition once. ![]()
